To mark the anniversary of Elliott Smith's death on October 21, 2003, the Punk Rock Marthas have restored the Los Angeles mural from the cover of the last album he released, Figure 8. The mural has become a place where fans gather to commemorate his life and art, but unfortunately, it accumulated too much graffiti over time. They incorporated recycled paper, hand-written lyrics, maps, album covers, and more into the revamped design. It's nice to see continued efforts at celebrating the great artist that was Elliott Smith.
