Dope Interiors: Nike's New Georgetown Flagship

The first Swoosh retail store in the District.

Yesterday, Nike announced the opening of its first direct-to-consumer retail space in Washington, D.C. The store, which unfolds over three floors and 31,000-square-feet, leads with women's products and pays homage to local teams. Former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson, Jr. was on hand to celebrate the opening.

Local elements play throughout the interior, including logos of and mascots of high schools incorporated in the cash wraps; photographs of favorite area running trails; and a NIKEID table created from a former college scoreboard.

Georgetown is the ninth Nike concept store of its kind in the U.S.
