Bon Iver frontman, Justin Vernon, recently teamed with Gordy Bischoff to develop a baritone guitar made from original white oak found in Bushmills Irish Whiskey barrels. Bischoff, who's a Master Luthier, handcrafted the guitar through a intricate process at his instrument shop in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Entitled "The 1608", this recent collaboration aims to support "Since Way Back", a local charity that promotes artistic development around the Eau Claire community. A total of four guitars were made from barrels of Bushmills' white oak, but only one will be available to the public. Click here to make it your own with a bid of $8,200 or more, and continue below for a detailed look at Gordy's meticulous creative process.
