Filmmaker Corinna Belz has released a trailer for Gerhard Richter Painting, following her 2007 film, Gerhard Richter's Window. It's a documentary showing Richter's creative process, in addition to intimate conversations with his critics, collaborators, and American gallerist Marian Goodman.

Prior to her film in 2007, Richter hadn't been on camera for 15 years. Despite being one of the greatest painters of our time, he's extremely shy, which makes anticipation for the full-length film very high. Watch the 79-year-old show us how it's done.
