Photographer Jon Shireman's Broken Flower series was clearly a labor of love and dedication. He soaked various flowers in liquid nitrogen for 30 minutes, then used a spring-loaded machine to catapult them at a high speed. The result are flowers that look shattered against a white surface, and it's stunning.
