Tuxedo Stan, a cat who is running for mayor of Halifax, Canada, is becoming quite famous online. He's three years old and reps the Tuxedo Party, aiming to improve the welfare of felines "because neglect isn’t working." Halifax has a serious stray cat problem, which his campaign is drawing attention to, but unfortunately municipal laws ban animals from holding office. In any case, like his page on Facebook, as we imagine that the rules won't stop him from continuing to accomplish social good in the future.
