Inspired by the British Museum’s BBC radio series and book, “A History of the World in 100 Objects,” The New York Times made their own interactive "A History of New York in 50 Objects," embodying the narrative of NYC. Explaining objects from the Metrocard to the AIDS button and the 1955 World Series Banner, the project tells a lot of typically unknown, amazing stories. Check it out on NYT's interactive site.
