We Are Runts/WAAR Repurposes Stock Military Fabrics for Fall Outerwear

Heritage brands have been using the term "vintage" loosely with many designers recreating looks from the past. Owners Matt Davis and Mike Quinones of We Are Runts/WAAR create their own lane by maintaining the Made in U.S.A. apparel while repurposing surplus vintage military fabrics. The lifestyle brand keeps Californian roots intact, bridging activities from skate, surf, and even motorcycles reflected in its Fall collection.

"Some brands have recently turned their practices to domestic manufacturing; however, since day one WAAR has prided itself on the Made in the U.S.A. label. While it's not easy to provide relevant pricing for an attainable product made here in America, WAAR pushes and strives to be both while breaking the norm of what an American Made brand looks like." says Matt Davis.

The founder continues, "From rivets, buttons, and fusing to fabric and of course labor, every element that goes into each garment originates in the USA. We don't use overseas fabric domestically stocked by jobbers, imported trims or outsourced washing. Some of the vendors we use are a few of the last remaining in their trade and we are happy to support them."
