White Dreams, Honolulu-based artist Kamea Hadar, new exhibition at Loft In Space explores themes of sex, love, death, and the human condition. The collected works are his most ambitious to date, and he's even extended himself off canvas to paint the gallery ceiling. The show is proof that Kamea is a realist painter of great imagination. He's certainly one to watch.

The son of an Israeli father and a Japanese/Korean mother, Hadar grew up in Hawaii and studied art in Paris and Madrid. His breadth of experience plays out in his painting, mixing traditions with a fresh balance and reverence for technique.

White Dreams will run through August 19, 2012

Loft In Space, 831 Queen Street, Honolulu, Hawaii
