For the inaugural show at their new CHG Circa Gallery, Jan Corey and Bruce Helford highlight new work by one of their favorite artists, Lola. Raised in Riverside, CA, Lola has shown twice at the duo's original Corey Helford Gallery, and will present 13 new paintings based on her signature examination of consumerist trappings. "These paintings are reminders of what it means to chase a dream," Lola says of her new work, "I decided one year ago to change everything I know about comfort, leave my Los Angeles home, and save all I can to move myself and my girls to a cozy setting in England.”
The new paintings, collected under the title Haro, will be on view from September 8 through October 6, 2012.
