Finally putting a nail in the coffin of the venerable downtown New York punk rock venue's lifeless corpse, Patagonia has signed a lease at 313 Bowery, the remaining half of the old CBGB's space. The unit has been flipped a few times, at one time being host to a pop-up shop Riff that sold garb designed by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Andy Hilfiger. And, Patagonia's next door neighbor at 315 Bowery is, of course, the homage-haven of John Varvatos, which at least tries to preserve the spirit of the former tenant.
Fingers crossed this means we'll finally get that Patagonia/Ramones collab we've been waiting for. [Racked NY]
