Mismo Spring/Summer 2013 Is Bringing Mustard Back

Danish bag maker Mismo's S/S 13 collection shows a promising lineup highlighted by several new prints and materials, and their original mustard yellow makes a comeback in several dope iterations. Originally from the Mismo/Storm Canvas collaboration in 2009, they brought it back just for old time's sake, literally. Adam Bach, co-founder of Mismo, said they "already know [the mustard bags] won’t sell well, but it draws a lot of attention to what we’re doing and it’s authentic to who we are." And that's certainly a respectable decision even if we do think the color is awesome. Besides its functionality, Mismo wanted to focus on the patterns and versatility of the bags themselves for this collection. "You normally have a travel bag, a work bag, a gym bag, a washbag and so forth, but with many of the new styles they’re not so square or restrictive in their usage," said Bach. The floral nubuck leather and denim canvas pieces are also a new addition that adds a weathered vintage feel to their lineup. Find them at Bergdorf and Barneys, or check out their website.
