Summer can be slow. Thin group shows fill galleries, or doors simply shut for the quiet period.

Not so in Denver. Black Book Gallery brings out the star studded trio of Shepard Fairey, Evan Hecox, and Jim Houser this week to light up the Mile High city skies. Hometown kid Hecox is the standout. He's one of our 100 Most Influential Artists of the Decade and fresh off one of the best shows of 2012 (so far). In addition to the gallery show, Hecox and Fairey will produce murals on the walls of the Metropolitan State College of Denver Center for Visual Arts.
