The Week In "Out Here": Rick Owens Dunks And Double Cups

None

"The Week In 'Out Here'" is an ongoing series in which young, reckless, blogging superstar Noah Emrich teaches you how to be fully "out here." What's "out here," you ask? According to Noah, "Basically, when you are 'out here', you are doing things, making luxurious movements and, hopefully, profiting from all these things." Word.

Yo, I'm tired. Capsule is over. And like many, whose presence is not actually required at a menswear tradeshow, I'm exhausted from it. I visited the shows strictly as a onlooker this season, kitted in my plainest of outfits—catch me at events coming through looking real Gap. As tiring as free drinks and racks on racks of clothing are, I still had a pretty good time. The nice thing is that these shows put a lot of friends that never see each other into a big room together, so that's why I was really there. I did wander the aisles of booths for a bit, but did not really look at a lot of stuff.

However, since we out here with these other yung bluhggers now and have to stay on our game, I'm gonna throw out some names for y'all. Pay attention because these types of things from me are rare: Isaora, Industry of All Nations and this one Japanese brand whose business cards had an expired website and no brand name on them. Those three for S/S 13 all day.

After we all skipped around happy to see each other, we came back out here and had more free drinks on rooftops. Which, if you know anything about what I represent, is a movement that could not be any more desirable—rooftop movements are basically the epitome of how we are out here living right now. Somehow Baldwin and Todd Snyder came through in the cut and not only got a roof, but one with turf so we can be even more out here with fake-ass grass between our toes. Baldwin branded double cups kept us real current with the lean crowd.

And before you get too bored of reading about double cups and other cool relevant things, I'm going to tell you about something else I did this week that could very easily be categorized as out here. My friend Max Gardner asked me to shoot a music video that he was directing and producing for Face Vega (who is basically my favorite up-and-coming rapper) and his partner GILA MONSTA. When they Voltron they are known as Gorgeous Children. Just like any other rap video set we had a gallon of fake blood, Dunkin Donuts, grillz, some Raf, some Rick and, of course, more of the aforementioned double cup things.

This week's fashion tip: don't get blood on your Rick dunks while sipping peach Ciroc on a turf covered roof. Also, know that if you are ever at Bowery House past 10pm the music you are enjoying is keeping John Jannuzzi up at night.
