"The Week In 'Out Here'" is an ongoing series in which young, reckless, blogging superstar Noah Emrich teaches you how to be fully "out here." What's "out here," you ask? According to Noah, "Basically, when you are 'out here', you are doing things, making luxurious movements and, hopefully, profiting from all these things." Word.

Aight, so this week was all about being further out there in a more pleasant way. Pretty much taking everything a step more out there in an effort to be more out here, if you will. A friend of mine just moved into a new spot in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. If you haven't been before, Greenpoint is the place of dreams—the kind of place where all those Tumblr photos you see of dudes in overalls, outrageously cute cupcakes, sexy white wood apartments, backyard dandy dinners and cute girls in sun dresses on every corner exist in real, tangible life. So when he had a housewarming party, you can expect the results we're quite pleasant.

A projector on the roof played old YouTube music videos and kept us entertained. By the way, if you haven't already, I suggest you watch Aphex Twin's "Windowlicker" video. It's from the 90's and all shot on 35mm film and could be the best video I've ever watched. Visually and conceptually, this shit is outrageous and the art direction is on another level. We had a view of both the in-progress Freedom Tower and the Empire State Building, but the rest of lower Manhattan was blocked out by another building. That was all real fun and, you know, rad in a 500 Days of Summer type way.

Then we all hopped on our bikes to make our way home. In Greenpoint every day things like 24 hour delis look like the Garden of Eden, and who would pass up the Garden of Eden at 4am? I picked up a snack while there—fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and a small baguette. Obviously the kind of things you would get at a deli on your way home at 4am. You only live luxé (YOLL), right? Then we dropped our bikes off in some gracious hallway and grabbed a cab home. A casual snack of prosciutto and mozzarella in the back of a cab before passing out is going to be my new move for anyone looking to add some new moves to their arsenal. So that's how we've been out here this week, doing everything next level pleasant in Greenpoint. My fashion tips of the week: spend more time in Greenpoint and eat delicious cured meat in the back of a cab.
