As great as Jack Nicholson's Prince-bumping, museum-loving Joker was, Chris Nolan's gritty universe called for a more pared down approach to The Clown Prince of Crime. It makes sense then, that a Joker who only shops for guns and explosives would have a decidedly thriftier look to him, giving zero fucks about that name brand life.
