Here in the United States, McDonald's is offering any size coffee for just a buck. It's a great deal, but it also wastes a ton of Styrofoam cups. France's "Golden Arches" have opted towards a sustainable alternative in replace of disposable drinkware. The fast-food company has commissioned industrial designer Patrick Norguet to create a collection of stylish, reusable cups. Six ceramic designs were created with colorful wraps to protect the hand from hot beverages. McDonald's in France intends to give away Norguet's designs for free as an incentive to try their new coffee products. [PSFK]
