Marco Stefanelli debuted his new Brecce Collection at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair. The collection mixes technology with craft by combining light, wood and resin, creating a lamp within a log. Stefanelli’s lamps vary in sizes, some small enough to be placed on a bookshelf and some large (and study) enough to be used as a stool. Stefanelli creates his Brecce lamps by cutting a section of the log out, then making a silicone cast of the removed piece and then placing the light within the casted silicone. [Inhabitat]
