Erwin Wurm's new sculpture at the Standard Hotel in NYC titled Big Kastenmann is public art at its best. Standing at 18-feet tall, the surrealist sculpture can be viewed until November 2, 2012, and is accompanied by a limited-release print (2003's Pee on Someone’s Rug) on sale for $2,000 on the Standard website. In discussing the sculpture, Wurm says:
"My work is very much about interaction, and The Standard’s location and the size of the work ensure that Big Kastenmann will be accessible to many people, which is the essence of public art."
