Thanks to architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Columbia University's legacy of excellence in medical education will continue in a beautiful new building. The university was the first in the United States to award the M.D. degree, all the way back in 1770, and has continually promoted new, state-of-the-art advancement in the field. The new building, for which plans have just been unveiled, reflects Columbia's legacy and heritage while pushing new technology and LEED Gold certification.
