Julia Alfonso opened the first tattoo shop in Atlanta to welcome African American artists in the earIy 1990s. In this video, the second webisode drawn from Miya Bailey and Artemus Jenkins' Color Outside The Lines: A Tattoo Documentary, Alfonso talks about her West End Tattoos parlor and the nature of the tattoos popular among early clients.
Set for release on June 27th, 2012, the film will debut June 21st at the Midtown Art Cinema in Atlanta, GA.
