News broke last March that Simon Spurr was leaving his namesake label. Since then the company has ceased all product loans. Most of the stock from previous seasons have been sold and most of the remaining employees have been laid off.

Spurr has yet to explain his departure but this may not be the last time we see him at the brand. In an interview with the Times, he said that he is open to returning to the company

On his returning to the Simon Spurr label:

"I'm working together with my business partner and investor to find a resolution. I have high hopes to come back to the company one day. I'm looking forward to whatever the next step would be, whatever it is."
