Before Jimi Hendrix introduced himself to the world as the greatest guitarist in music history, Hendrix enlisted with the 101st Airborne Division as an alternative to serving prison time for riding in stolen cars. Discharged in May of 1962 for "behavioral problems", Hendrix was reportedly caught masturbating in platoon areas and required excessive supervision.
