The FOUNDation project was created by designers Rikkert Paauw and Jet van Zwieten from the Netherlands. Aimed at providing sustainable design to local communities, the two designers began transforming abandoned trash containers into vibrant pop-up shops serving coffee, food and retail merchandise. The most recent transformations were created for a small festival located in the Dutch province of Utrecht and exhibited during the week long event. New York, we need this!
