Marithé + François Girbaud, who we initially reported was going bankrupt, has been saved in the nick of time by Indian company Indian company Fibres & Fabrics International (FFI). They signed a 15-year licensing deal that will allow the French denim brand to restructure the company while allowing them to move forward with retail expansion, including a store in London and multiple locations in China.

Girbaud has long played a prominent role in hip-hop, including numerous call-outs in rap songs. While they're not as popular as they once were, the brand still has a dedicated following. [WWD]
