The Avengers made their comic book debut in September 1963, and the resulting awesomeness of their first team-up has been giving geeks nerdgasms ever since. Of course, as artists changed, and comics grew as an art form, so did the style and costumes the characters were drawn in. The blockbuster film, in theaters today, has so much to draw from in terms of how the characters could be portayed.
