With a background in writing, Nug has gained recognition in recent years for bringing graffiti to new contexts and media. He's interested, in short, in the energy released by performing graffiti. The resulting action yields abstract expressionist tags and in the artist's hands shares, "comprehensible behavioral patterns."
Nug will be performing at Skalitzers through June 2, 2012.
