Smith Andersen Editions has a forty year track record of supporting creativity and encouraging boundary pushing. The press' most recent project finds five tattooers and five print makers collaborating to explore the potential merger of the two mediums. The results are bright, powerful, and prove the kinship of drawing on skin and drawing on a printing plate.
Included in the exhibition are tattooers Ross K Jones, Mary Joy, Jen Lee, Jeff Rassler, and Kahlil Rintye. They were partnered with master print makers Enrique Chagoya, George Herns, Katheryn Kain, Kara Maria, and Richard Shaw. Together, these ten talented artists produced the work that makes up Indelibly Yours, a winning document of Smith Andersen Editions "Tattoo Project."
