With Milan Furniture Fair raging, there will be no shortage of superb designs this week. Hilla Shamia's "Wood Casting" has cast a spell on us, mixing cast aluminum and wood brilliantly. The juxtaposition of natural materials and squared metal gives an artificial feel, but the memory of the log is intact adding a secondary magic to the finished product. [Contemporist]
