French photographer Gerard Rancinan breaks convention with his unique, and often startling, staged images. Sometimes you'll find a family dressed like Mickey Mouse together watching tv. Other captured moments include a group of boys costumed like Batman. The intent is to express moments of interest with unlikely tone.

Rancinan works closely with journalist Caroline Gaudriault to create ongoing dialogue between image and word. Their commitment to story telling is realized in Wonderful World, an exhibition that will open in the UK in June and conclude a seven year project, Trilogy of the Moderns.

The exhibition will take place at The Future Tense in association with Opera Gallery and Londonewcastle. The scheduled dates are June 7 through 24, 2012.
