This Side of Paradise is a renovation project at the Andrew Freedman Home (1125 Grand Concourse in the Bronx) that recently re-opened to the public. Once a white-glove retirement home for the wealthy who lost their fortunes in the Great Depression, it's now a site-specific installation celebrating "human ingenuity, the strength of the human spirit and the resilience needed to fashion beauty, hope and rejoicing." See the list of 26 participating artists on the official website. [Coolhunting]
