Los Angeles-based Kai Aspire, known for his street art STOP sign paintings, is working on a new series that depicts rappers as nobleman. Complete with full medieval regalia, he's portrayed Kanye as a royal knight. Eminem gets more cerebral treatment, as a Roman Catholic monk. Not the first time rappers have been painted in a classic style, but the twist is still rather fresh.
The portraits are part of the Now Royalty series which will run at LA's Guetta Gallery for six weeks from May 4, 2011.
