Axel Yberg’s gravity defying designs all started with a table he made for his mother-in-law as a gift. Out of this one-off piece, grew the artist and designer’s collection, “Potential for Collapse.” All the pieces featured in this collection are elegantly (of not precariously) standing on a myriad of different, seemingly unstable foundations. Some pieces utilize wires to hold wood “legs” together, while others rely solely on balance. Either way they are beautiful works of art as well as functional furniture. [Akke]
