It’s not weird at all that people love the scent of new things—hell, we wish we could bottle up that fresh-out-the-box shoe smell. For your nostrils' pleasure, Air Aroma has done us all a favor and captured the scent of a new Apple Macbook Pro opened for the first time.
The scent came as an odd request from Australian artistic collaborative group, Greatest Hits, for its latest exhibition. The aroma of plastic, rubber, glue, and paper was sourced from the south of France, then blended by master perfume makers to get that fresh new Macbook smell. Sadly, the fragrance will only be featured at the group's exhibition in Melbourne, Australia. We can only imagine the tons of unboxing that had to be done in order to get the correct scent.
