Brian Hamill, a New York-native, has captured some of the most notable faces in 1960s and 1970s popular culture. A quick scan of his vast catalog reveals portraits of John Lennon, Mick Jagger, and Robert De Niro alongside Joe Pesci. A graduate of RIT, Hamill worked as a photojournalist between gigs shooting movies and concerts.
The nature of Hamill's work lends perfectly to the aesthetic of The Impossible Cool, a blog run by filmmaker Sean Sullivan which celebrates an America filled with true icons.
