Very few designers get to work on projects that give them endless amounts of free reign and the chance to geek out on their favorite movies. Luckily, the crazy-talented folks at Helms Workshop were given the chance to flex their creative muscles and develop this awesome packaging for Austin–based Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas.
The Cinema has an in-house line of wines they produce each year. The theme for 2012 is “The Princess Bride”, in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary, and the slogan is “The Bottle of Wits” – playing off the “battle of wits” scene in the movie. Alamo released two varietals for their wine line this year, “Inconceivable Cab” and “As You Wish White.” Keep an eye out for Helms/Alamo future collaborations; the Drafthouse Cinema will be revamping their labels every year, changing up the movie-based themes as they go along.
