SFMOMA and the Guggenheim are having a bit of a Marian Goodman moment this year, with both playing host to surveys of two of the gallery's female photographers, the aforementioned Francesca Woodman and the innovative Dutch portraitrait Rineke Dijkstra. The latter's retrospective, which features over 70 photographs and five video installations, is her first major one in the US. If you are currently in New York and can't wait for the Guggenheim's opening at the end of June, head to The AIPAD Photography Show at the end of March (March 31, 10am, to be exact) to hear Dijkstra in conversation with Jennifer Blessing, curator of photography at the Guggenheim.
