Inspired by the tragic events of 9/11, artist Mark Newport originally started designing superhero knits back in 2003. Since then, Newport has created costume replicas from: Batman, Spider-Man, Captain America and more. Currently on display at the University of Texas Downtown Gallery, IN ACTION is Newport's recent exhibition featuring his yarn-assembled superhero costumes.
