Dario Escobar, who hails from Guatemala, focuses on reusing old sports equipment in forming powerful gallery installation. His skateboard work, while not on this list, has great range. At times, he's creating abstract sculpture with multiple boards. Other times, he's being playful with status and transport by placing a Mercedes logo on a classic deck.
