In preparation for the opening of Kehinde Wiley/The World Stage: Israel, the Jewish Museum is working with Brooklyn-based Overall Murals to produce a 20' x 35' wallscape on the corner of Houston and Mott streets. Recreating the 2011 painting Alios Itzhak, the wall will bring Wiley's large-scale work to even more mammoth proportion. This type of adverting is new for The Jewish Museum. Hard to argue with the logic when the result is so striking.

The exhibition runs from March 9 through July 29, 2012. The mural will remain up until May 23, 2012.
