Nathalie Stämpfli's Soap Flakes

Get clean and be ecologically responsible at the same time.

Nathalie Stämpfli came up with the concept of Soap Flakes after weighing the environmental issues of the production of liquid soap and the grossness of bar soap after it gets wet and slimy. Bar soap is more ecologically sound than liquid, because its compact and uses less water to produce, can be packaged in biodegradable paper, and can be transported in larger quantities, but its unappealing and unhygienic qualities definitely leave a lot to be desired.

Soap Flakes is an ingenious solution to this dilemma. By shaving a small bit of soap off for each use the user can make the soap last longer and never has to touch the bar, therefor keeping it clean and dry.  Stämpfli created two versions of Soap Flakes, a wall mounted style and a handy enclosed version that keep the soap dry while you shower or bath.
