A few years ago, Cosmo Sarson clipped a newspaper article about Polish kids breakdancing for the Pope. The image has stuck in the painter's mind, and his recent work brings to life the idea of Jesus busting a few moves. He based the finished oil on a photograph taken of a dancer friend, rendering the event in photorealistic style, but with tongue-in-cheek. The mixing of contemporary culture and famous artworks drives Sarson's output. Click the thumbs for more examples.
