Designed in collaboration between Bjarne Mastenbroek and Christian Müller, Villa Vals sinks effortlessly into the landscape. It is almost like a cave... except with all the comfort and amenity you'd expect from a traditional, contemporary mountain lodge. Other Dutch designers helped complete the project, which was finished in 2009, adding interior elements that further refine the idea and make this one of the coolest vacation spots around.
