Forward-thinking designer Karim Rashid has pointed out that we are living through the third technological revolution, with our mind-blowing gadgets and ever-progressing software drastically changing our way of life. However, he argues, design has remained stagnant and nostalgic; he uses the example of a chair: something we see and use everyday, but something which is also usually very uncomfortable and poorly designed.
