When the African Cup of Nations kicks off on January 21, competitors will be aiming for goal with the newly unveiled "Comoequa" ball. Though it features the same construction as the adidas Tango 12 fueling games at EURO 2012, there are distinct design cues grounding the ball in the African tournament. Taking from the Como River, which runs through host nations Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, the "Comoequa" features both nation's flags in the central triangular portions.

This is the third ball adidas has provided for the African Cup of Nations, their relationship with the tournament having begun in 2008.
