Nike Unveils Integrated Uniform System For Oregon Ducks In Rose Bowl

When science meets sport.

When the Oregon Ducks battle the University of Wisconsin Badgers at the Rose Bowl on January 2, the squad will be sporting the most innovative uniform ever seen. Built for speed, the jersey and pant incorporate eleven different materials, including Nike Chain Maille Mesh for ventilation. A further five new materials are utilized to complete the full system of dress, promoting the lightest weight possible.

The scientific progress of the uniform doesn't minimize style in design. The Duck's rich heritage finds form in re-designed numbers that reference the iridescent sheen of a mallard's feathers. Similarly, the ducks' wings provide the basis for an armored wing that reinforces the shoulder area of the jersey.

Finally, the new look helmet boasts bright wings atop a LiquidMetal black finish, used for the first time on-field at the Rose Bowl.
