Since 2008 By Robert James operated in a 200 sq. ft shop that took vintage to a whole new level, incorporating put-together looks with an American worn-in twist in the LES. Tonight the shop will open its doors to a three-story 3,500 sq. ft venue.
The first floor will serve as the retail space and the 2nd floor mezzanine will house James’ office and Custom Fitting Area where you can schedule private appointments with the designer for custom garment consultations and fittings. Lastly the 3rd floor will serve as James’ design studio and lounge for local creative’s and musicians where they can collaborate and relax.
“It’s a similar process that I use to create the collection. I give the classics a clean-up and rebirth,” said Robert James.
Stop by and shop at the grand opening tonight at 8 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Brazil Foundation.
