In James Jarvis' De Profundis, an artist travels through the wilderness to an empty city. There he meets a priest who commissions him to decorate a temple. The book is Jarvis' first graphic novel in five years and finds the English illustrator drawing inspiration from medieval woodcuts and the De Stjil movement. [Standard Hotels]
