After a three-year hiatus, the New York Historical Society is set to reopen its doors after a $65 million renovation. The impressive Central Park West location houses a centerpiece gallery, children's library, history museum, restaurant, and this iconic mural created by Keith Haring. Haring's-doodle ceiling was an original centerpiece at Haring's Soho Pop Shop until it was dismanteled and put in storage a few years back. Catch Haring's piece at the official opening of the New York Historical Society on November 11. [NYMag]
