Opening on February 4, 2011, The Art of Golf celebrates the royal and ancient game through painting and photography. Organized by the High Museum of Art (Atlanta) and the National Galleries of Scotland, the exhibition is the first devoted to the game mounted in the United States. Over 95 works are included, ranging from paintings by Rembrandt to prints by Pop master Andy Warhol (whose portrait of Jack Nicklaus of 1977 is a real treat). New aerial photographs of Scotland's most iconic courses round out the material, which also boasts a look at the chic advertisement of those same links utilized in the roaring twenties.
